RN to BSN at WWU on the Peninsulas

The RN-to-BSN program is a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) completion program for graduates of associate degree registered nursing (ADN) programs. Students enrolled in an associate degree program may apply, provided they can be licensed as an RN before the winter quarter. The program follows a supportive cohort model and admits a new group of students each fall.

Online and accessible to nurses on the peninsulas and throughout Washington state, the program combines asynchronous online coursework with hands-on practical experiences arranged by the faculty in the student’s community. A hybrid option is also available on Western’s Bellingham campus.

The program’s innovative curriculum teaches students to lead population health and health equity work in their communities. Faculty and staff have created a supportive, engaged, and diverse learning community and provide a caring, nurturing environment.

Whether your goal is leadership or continuing your education to a master's or doctoral degree, as a graduate of the RN-to-BSN program, you'll be well-prepared for your next step.
