Earth Yay! is designed to educate, inspire, and activate. Join us in celebrating Earth Day and building a more sustainable future together.
About Earth Yay!
Earth Yay! is a community-centered Earth Day celebration bringing together students, educators, and local organizations to explore sustainability, environmental stewardship, and the future of our region.
This event is built around a simple idea: Learn where you live. Protect where you live.
Through hands-on activities, community connections, and creative expression, Earth Yay! highlights the incredible environmental work happening across Kitsap County and the Olympic Peninsula.
What to Expect
- Community Booths: Connect with local nonprofits, conservation groups, and sustainability leaders working across our region.
- Plant & Seed Exchange: Bring a plant, take a plant, or learn how to start growing your own. Seed donations and starter plants available while supplies last.
- Interactive Activities: Hands-on learning opportunities, demonstrations, and sustainability education for all ages.
- Community: Space to gather, connect, and celebrate Earth Day together.
- Trail walking tour: Explore the short trail that runs through the woods, led by Autumn Martinez, Miss Agriculture America Washington—Kitsap County

Did you know there is a short trail through the woods alongside OC Poulsbo's campus? Explore the path at our Earth Day! Celebration, with a tour led by Autumn Martinez, Miss Agriculture America Washington—Kitsap County and forestry expert.
She'll show you the different flora and fauna growing just steps away from campus. Who wouldn't want to go on a walk through the woods with a princess?
Autumn Martinez: Miss Agriculture America Washington—Kitsap County
Hello I am Autumn Martinez Miss Agriculture America Washington- Kitsap County. I am a proud Washingtonian who was a passion for the outdoors and forestry science. Through Miss Agriculture America I represent Washington's forestry management industry and promote a better understanding of Washington's beautiful forests.
When I am not working through my University courses I enjoy spending my time horseback riding and hiking.

Earth Yay! is part of a full week of Earth Week programming across Olympic College campuses, including panels, workshops, and sustainability activities.
Earth Week at Olympic College
April 20 to 24, 2026
Events will take place across Bremerton, Poulsbo, and Shelton campuses and include:
- Earth Week display and clothing donation drive at the Haselwood Library
- Student Sustainability Club panel on local environmental issues
- Composting education sessions during lunch hours
- Sustainability and geography drop-in at the Shelton campus
- Garden Extravaganza with hands-on learning and planting activities
- Tree Hour campus walking tour
